Brief

Hsinkuang Chen has over 13 years design experience in international star architecture companies, working on a variety of local and international projects including large scale mixed use, high rise commercial and residential buildings. His expertise is high performance exterior wall design, which involves the usage of parametric modeling and data analysis tool to shape the building form and optimize exterior wall details. With extensive experience on both building design and technology, he has developed an excellent ability to carry out the design idea to the construction details in an economic way without compromising the quality of final product.  He is the founder and president of Chicago Taiwanese Architecture Institute, a nonprofit organization which provides Chicago architecture tours and professional training programs.  He started his own design company – Smart Build Design at 2019 for architecture design, lighting fixture design and fashion design.
